Raritan Valley Seventh Day Baptist Church
A church for you on 202

Seventh Day Baptists have been around since the 1600s, but people still confuse us with other groups. We are like other Baptists in our baptism of believers, our congregational form of government, our commitment to the authority of Scripture, and our value of freedom of conscience under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. What makes us different from other Baptists is our observance of God's Sabbath Day from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. We delight in God's gift of the Sabbath! We have found that there is something very special about working hard all week and then coming together on the Sabbath to thank God for providing us with all that we need, for encouraging us through the tough times of life, and for teaching us how to be better neighbors.

Our Church Covenant: Having been brought by God’s forgiveness into fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior from sin, we solemnly and joyfully covenant with one another: (1) To keep the commandments of God, and to walk in the faith of Jesus; (2) To watch over each other for good that we may be built up together in Christ, grow in grace and a further knowledge of truth, and be instrumental in bringing mankind to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; and (3) To attend cheerfully the appointments, and bear the burdens and expenses of the church, according as God may give us severally the ability.
